Vancouver

Welcome to Vagabond Days

A blog about a Kiwi gal living in Canada.

In October 2012, I accepted a six month job offer to work on a film in Vancouver.

I packed my life into 23kg of checked baggage, stocked up on thermal underwear, and moved halfway around the world.

I expected life here would be the same as in New Zealand, but it’s not. Canada is full of small surprises.

I’ve seen a First Nations dance in the center of the road, a crack deal in broad daylight, learned the joy of Christmas in the north, and frolicked in autumn leaves.

So I thought I would blog about it.

As we are visiting Vancouver at the end of May your comments in the Travel section of the Sunday star times New Zealand were most helpful. Thank you
